The Verbal Bottleneck

Research into developmental delays suggests that many learners fail not because of a lack of ability, but because of a 'verbal bottleneck'. When instructions are delivered solely through auditory channels, a student's working memory can become overwhelmed. Our model integrates visual anchors and kinesthetic tasks to ensure learning is never lost in the noise.

We apply these strategies not just in our 1:1 sessions, but by advising on classroom-wide overstimulation. By regulating the environment, we allow the student's inclusive learning profile to shine.

Connection Before Curriculum

Educational settings often prioritise the curriculum over the student’s emotional baseline. Our trauma-informed framework reverses this. We recognise that for students who have experienced systemic failure or personal trauma, the brain remains in a state of high alert.

By establishing psychological safety through connection, we downregulate the nervous system, which is the essential prerequisite for any academic progress to occur.
